Just discovered this gem of a bakery. Best bakkliva I've ever had. Amazing breads and desserts. Plus fun grocery items you won't find in the typical stores. Worth a drive if you live in Eastern Iowa.
Best cake in town! Seriously hands down the best cake! It is a very small bakery but they have fresh and ready cakes at all times. They also have a variety of smoked meats and sweets! For such a small store they really do have a lot to choose from. They also carry lots of seasonings and other ethnic foods from Bosnia, Croatia, ect. . .
Unbelievable sweets. Their homemade bread is awesome also. Their owner is a super guy and he is so willing to let you try or taste any of the selections that you've never heard of or had before. Be prepared to loosen your belt after enjoying their treats.
The most amazing sweets and very kind people. The cake is always moist and not too sweet. It fills the soul very well. My favorite place to buy a treat on a tough day.
Picked up some desserts here for a family get together. Cheesecake, chocolate caramel cake, and tiramisu. All got rave reviews to the point my out of state family looked up the address so they could stop in on their next trip.
Its a tiny business, but it smells incredible when you first walk in. I bought a few of the bread options which taste so fresh and delicious! Will be back to try the pastry which look phenomenal!
I love this place for their desserts!! Oh Mylanta, you guys have to go try all of it! I walk out with 6 pieces of each of my favorites! tiramisu is delicious, Bak lava, is always a favorite! Cheese cake! Go right now, (closed Thursdays) so good!!!!
Prices are good and the fresh items are actual heaven! We went there for the first time and my husband and I didn't even get home before we finished it all. I highly recommend the cheesecake! Creamiest cheesecake I have ever had. We loved the caramel chocolate cake and the layered white cake. It wasn't too sweet, it was perfect. Will be back soon!
Discovered this little piece of heaven a few years ago. I stop every chance I get. So friendly, prices are great, and the sweets are fantastic.
This place is a little hidden gem in Waterloo. On top of normal shopping foods you can get from the bosnian community, you can also get cakes and sweet treats and fresh bread. The fresh bread and the sweet treats are amazing, highly recommend the chocolate caramel cake. If you have one piece you are going to want to go back for more! Very moist, not hard or dry, just soooo delicious. You have options of uncut bread or already sliced, both are delicious. They also have a lot of snacks. It's a lot of fun to try different ones, because it's stuff that you can not find anywhere else. The staff there, which I believe is the owner is super nice and helpful. They also have great meats and cheeses. Basically, I HIGHLY recommend trying this store/bakery out. It is located just a few blocks off of highway 218, so it's not out of the way if youre just passing through. It's definitely worth the few blocks drive off your path.
